This is on a pre-order basis

The Pinkerton avocados have an elongated, pear-shaped body with a bright green, lightly pebbled skin that is easy to peel. The fruit houses a small seed and rich creamy flesh with high oil content and a distinctive, pronounced avocado flavour.

These fruits are air-flown from Israel, instead of by sea (4 weeks), which means they will reach you in top quality and freshness.

Each box is approximately 4kg.

Firm, uncut avocados can be safely stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks. They will continue to ripen in the refrigerator at a slower rate. Ripe avocados can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.

To ripen your avocado faster, put them together with a banana or an apple, and leave it at room temperature.

Do take note that the Pinkertons do not turn black or brown when ripe. Be sure to check for ripeness daily! When the fruit is ready to eat, the fruit should yield to a gentle squeeze. It should be soft (not mushy) on the body and at the top.

To serve your avocados, remember the Cut, Twist, Scoop method. First, place the fruit on a cutting board and Cut lengthwise gently around the pit. Then, Twist the halves apart and lift the pit out with a spoon. Lastly, gently spoon around the edges, Scoop out and enjoy!

Pre-order closed on 6 Dec. Available on the week of 14 December 2020.
